Happy Valentine's Day ~ Happy Friday Eve ~ HAPPY, HAPPY!
I'm in an excellent mood - The rain is a welcome change, the babies are napping and my 4-year-old is building a fort in the living room with her uncle. When I lived in Boston, I took these days for granted. Scratch that. I loathed these "crummy days" and longed for sunshine. Oh, how the grass is always greener! This week it actually feels like February, and this is how most of the country celebrates Valentine's Day - in rain galoshes, not pumps.
Part of what I love about these days are hot meals and hot drinks. HERE are some awesome pressure cooker ideas for these chilly days! Would you post your favorite cold-day recipes on our Facebook page??
I also want to highlight a great indoor activity happening this Tuesday! Bring your toddlers (& preschoolers if they have the day off) to Funbelievable 9a-noon. Each of your kiddos will receive discounted admission, a free craft and a free snack & beverage upon arrival. Here's the link for more info.
Another last-minute deal I found out about is a FREE introductory figure skating lesson for the kids this Saturday! I just added this to our event calendar, as it's a weekly offering, which should cut down on the crowd size. Here's the link for this Saturday's class. (Available to San Diego residents only.) Ice Hockey also available here.
OK, That's enough housekeeping from me. LOTS going on in East County right now!
Make sure and like/follow our Facebook page - I've been posting heaps of last-minute deals and freebies (as well as some completely useless, yet hilarious memes).
XO,
Lindsay
