Cha, cha, cha, Changes...

By Lindsay Rizzo October 23, 2019

Today is my 37th birthday. As I move through another birthday, I think about my 3 daughters and what I want aging to look like to them.

I love that they still know I can pick them up and throw them around. I love that they see me making good choices with what I put into my body. πŸπŸ‡πŸ₯¦ They see me cheat too, which is equally as important. πŸ‘πŸΌ

I don't mind that my 5 year old sees me putting on mascara. When she asks why I wear makeup, I tell her, "Because it's fun," not because I don't love the way I look. When she asks to wear lip glossπŸ’„, we do it because it's fun, not because she needs it.

We check our babies in to childcare so I can sit with my husband uninterrupted at church; I know they're having fun and socializing, and I'm getting my cup filled.

When Jonny and I go on date nightπŸ’• my girls see that we are putting our marriage as a priority... so one day, they will too.

When we go to the gym and have to part ways with the kids for a bit, we are showing them that, even though we love spending time with them, we are taking care of ourselves πŸ’ͺ🏼and we always will.

I have my girl tribe and i would do anything for them ... at any hour. I’m shameless about telling CeCe, “Mommy has girls’ night tonight!” as I head out the door - she gets a night home w daddy anyway πŸ’•

I think about what I want for my daughters when they turn 37, and I do my best to demonstrate that for them.
I am building a health & wellness business right now to provide for them, but more-so to show them that they can do anything if they are disciplined enough.
-Strong, not skinny
-Healthy, not deprived
-Selfless, not selfish
-Greens shots er'ryday~my body is my temple
-Find your girl tribe and be SUCH a loyal friend; you will attract friends like that too
-Be disciplined. Stay disciplined. No one will work as hard for your family as you will.

XO,

37-year-old Me
